Blepharoplasty

Blepharoplasty or eyelid surgery is a surgical procedure that has many benefits for the ageing eyelids. These include removing extra skin, fat and muscle from upper and lower eyelids, as well as smoothing out wrinkles and volumising age-related atrophy. Vision may be improved! Asymmetrical position and shape can be improved, and drooping eyelids can be addressed.

Various techniques are available, from simple injections of Botox, filler or fat, to more extensive procedures under local or general anaesthesia. Upper, lower or both eyelids may be addressed with the goal of harmonious, symmetrical and rejuvenated appearance.

Eyelid procedures are done under local anaesthesia and sedation, or general anaethesia and expert care of post-operative pain and swelling is on hand. Recovery is rapid and down-time minimal, averaging around a week.
